Sailing in Curonian spit

The Curonian Lagoon and the Baltic Sea offer excellent sailing conditions in the Curonian spit National Park.

Yacht-clubs in Smiltyne and Nida welcomes sailors from many different countries. The only condition for them is to pass the passport control and customs by entering through the Klaipeda Channel. Clear and visible signs shows the way to these offices.

Yacht-club in Smiltyne provides a harbour for yachts of different sizes. There is a WC, shower, cafe and hotel, which is owned by the yacht-club. Fresh water for refill is available. Charges for harbouring vary during the season.
Yacht-club in Nida welcome guests also. There is WC and shower. Travellers can have meals in Nida's restaurants and cafes, and stay overnight in one of hotels there. The passage way from Smiltyne to Nida is marked with common signs.
It is possible to rent a yacht with a crew in both - Smiltyne and Nida yacht-clubs. Entertainment trips to the Curonian Lagoon are organized also.

Each season sailors can take part in regattas, which are organized by the yacht-clubs. These competitions attracts participants and spectators from not only Lithuania but also abroad.
