Visitors of the Curonian Spit national park can walk along the new 1,1 km length Parnidis dune educational path and reach the famous dune by using more convenient stairs. It leads to the dune's lookout point along the dune's slope, and the wooden walkway offers magnificent panoramas of the landscape.
This trail starts at Neringa's sport school and ends up at the Solar clock's place. The visitors of this place have a possibility to admire the panoramic views in four observation spots. There are 22 new benches of various shapes, the artistic-interactive detail of "Pour the dune", the landmarks of the Parnidis Reserve and 6 information stands about the uniqueness and history of the landscape. Visitors who have baby strollers or are in wheelchairs are able to move from the begining until the end of the path. Unfortunately there is no special customization of the path for it.
Bicycle traffic is restricted in the whole path. Right now there is one bicycle lock station.
The Parnidis Landscape Reserve is characterized by an aesthetically valuable landscape, with a dune ridge planted with pines in the north and a dune ridge in the south. It is the only place in the whole national park where a chain of wind-blown dunes have survived to this day.
