The Avinas Hill is located in the territory of the Juodkrantė Landscape Reserve. There is also the southern part of the natural monument - the parabolic dunes, the old stands of Scots pines (fragments of the old forest), which are already more than 230 years old. The total area of the Juodkrantė Landscape Reserve is 260 hectares. It is located between the Juodkrantė recreational area and the Nagliai State Strict Nature Reserve.
