The 5-metre-high oak sculpture representing an armchair is situated near the lagoon in the Valley of Silence. This sculpture is related to the legendary giant Neringa, who created the peninsula of the Curonian Spit. According to the employees of the Curonian Spit National Park Administration, Neringa's Chair is more than just a piece of art. Anybody who wants to climb it and sit down can do it.
