"In a harmoniously wavy modern and old Curonian Spit epoch, Neringa hosts a winter festival, the main focus of which is the demonstration of icy "bombardment" of smelt fishing. It is an ancient method of fishing by local Curonians, where fish are caught with nets built under ice. The fish were lured into the nets with the sound of wooden hammers being beaten on an ice-covered board. Often the fisherman accompanied that rhythm with the words - "smelted fluff, smoked fluff, stay in the net…", which determined the name of the festival. Guests of the festival are invited to taste fried, smoked smelt, fish dishes and other fish dishes. During the festival, various educational activities, winter sports events and games are organized. Ice fishing "Nida blizgė" competition, "Ice Blokart" ice skating championship - inseparable attributes of this festival.

A fun spring festival for fishermen, the main highlight of which is the fireflies. The time of the festival was chosen in the spring, when gulls from the Baltic Sea swim en masse to spawn in rivers. At this time of year, as in autumn, these fish are one of the most delicious. During the "Žiobriniai" mentioned by the fishermen of the Curonian Spit at the end of April and the beginning of May, the ending spring fishing season was discussed. Participants of the festival can bake a specially prepared fish and scraped it on a wooden stick.
