The route of cultural heritage

The route of cultural heritage

Over 5,000 years of sand and sea friendship created the unique land of Neringa. Its remoteness and mesmerising nature resulted in a uniquely formed cultural landscape that this route explores in depth. One of the first stops is the cultural centre of Liudvikas Rėza, where visitors can learn about this remarkable personality’s work and achievements as well as the history of Juodkrantė.

Stop at the library of Preila and enjoy the calm shores of the lagoon in its open air terrace. While strolling the streets of Nida, visit the Evangelical Lutheran Church, which charms onlookers with its subtle neo gothic elegance. There is a historical ethnographic cemetery next to it that is said to have an unexpected atmosphere of light, harmony and warmth.

Visit the creative haven of Eduardas Jonušas, a sculptor and artist who called Nida his home. Experience his art, and a rich collection of cultural artefacts.

End the tour with a spectacular view: climb Urbas Hill to find the nostalgic lighthouse of Nida. A viewing platform at its top offers soaring views of Neringa - for the bravest only.
